NEVERTHELESS ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF IN THE MAKING..., THE ROCK BAND\'S SECOND RECORD, IN STORES SEPTEMBER 16, 2008

(Nashville, Tenn.) June 11, 2008 - Chattanooga, Tenn.-based rock quintet, Nevertheless, will release its second studio album, In the Making..., on September 16, 2008 (Flicker Records). The eleven-track project was produced by Rob Hawkins (Fireflight, Jackson Waters), and was recorded in Nashville, Tenn. between March and April of 2008. "Sleeping In" is the first radio single from In the Making..., currently at CHR radio.

While showing heart and expressing hope may not be new to Nevertheless\'s lyrics, In The Making... is a different and more accessible approach of expression. "I would say the biggest difference, lyrically, is that we pulled even more from our own experiences on In the Making...," shares lead singer, Joshua Pearson. "On this record, every single song has at least a few lines that hit very close to home. An example would be \'Sleeping In,\' which was written from a place of insecurity, which I believe to be one of my ugliest opponents, from time to time." And by highlighting such personal perspectives, In The Making... reeks of raw honesty and thus is the best tool to express its message.

"We took our time to think about what we really wanted to say with our next album," explains guitarist AJ Cheek. "We asked ourselves, \'What can we do to really touch people\'s lives, and not only make them think, but make ourselves think as well?\'"

Ultimately, they found an answer by clothing In The Making... with emotionally-laced lyrics and the predominant use of piano - an instrument that played an important part of Nevertheless\'s sound during its independent days. "We feel like it\'s a lot easier to just write heavy songs than it is to sincerely express a message. A piano has a way of really capturing a listener, and we find that it brings out emotions better than a guitar." says Cheek. "We intentionally sought to progress in how our record would sound this time. It\'s not a complete departure from the last records\' sound, but more an accent of it, with a bit more depth of emotion."

"Working with Nevertheless was killer," shares album producer, Rob Hawkins. "It\'s a great experience to work with a band that has such a defined vision of what they want the album to be. We knew from the start that we wanted to make an album that was honest and real; not hiding behind studio tricks and ear candy. The guys stayed true to that vision, and it was an honor to be a part of the process. I can\'t wait to see where it takes them!"

Accepting that the band is young, yet strongly evolving, is the key inspiration for the album title. Pearson explains. "We titled the record In The Making... for two different reasons. First of all, we believe that every single day we are still in the making of becoming the kind of people that God wants us to be. This record is written from personal experiences that we know many people deal with in their everyday life. Every pain and trial, along with every good thing in our lives, pushes us in that direction, and we hope the lyrics convey that point. Second, Nevertheless, as a band, is still in the making of becoming who we want to be. We are constantly learning who we are musically, and as people. This album is a reflection of this point in our lives."

"The goal for our music is to provide hope and inspire a desire to experience God\'s glory," says Cheek. "I hope people can learn from our songs that no matter what they are going through, and if they don\'t know where to turn, just know that there is always hope through Jesus."

Pearson adds, "I believe that we are called to write about both the light that shines in the darkness, and about the darkness that does not understand it. I believe that honesty always breaks down walls. Healing begins when we are able to, first of all, be honest before God. Secondly, be honest and vulnerable with one another. I hope that our songs reflect this idea, and that, when people listen to Nevertheless, they get a sense that God loves them, and wants to talk to them."

The beauty, love and awe-inspiring mystery that faith in God brings, even when it seems to make no sense at all, is where the oft-asked-about band name originates. Luke, chapter 5, explains. "When Jesus had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, \'Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.\' But Simon answered and said to Him, \'Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word, I will let down the net.\' And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking."

In the Making... comprises the following eleven tracks (sequence subject to change): "Sleeping In," "It\'s True," "Cross My Heart," "It\'s No Secret," "Rest," "I Needed This," "Longshot," "Augustine," "Topics," "When I\'m Alone" and "Found My Way Back Again."

Nevertheless is: Joshua Pearson, vocals; AJ Cheek, guitar and vocals; Brad Jones, guitar; Adam Rowe, drums; Adam Wann, bass.

Hey everyone, I hope all is well! First of all, it's exciting to say that Adam Wann, our bass player, just got married last week! The wedding and reception were fun, and I know Adam and Katie are enjoying getting used to married life! Maybe we can post a picture from the wedding soon!

Secondly, we just got back from Canada, where we played a thing called YC, and it was awesome! Everyone was so friendly, and the shows were a blast! We left the venue twice to get some Bubble Tea at this really cool place downtown, which was fun, and we also learned what a "Dooney" and a "Tooney" are... you'll figure it out. Thanks to everyone who chilled with us up there. Hopefully we can make it back soon!

Peace and Love - Joshua

P.S. - (This is an edit)... It appears that I have made a grand error. It is a Looney... I love you Canada.

(Neverthelessmusic.com journal)

Do you ever feel like sometimes you get it, and then, other times, you are completely lost? I mean, there are those moments in life when everything is going exactly as we would want it to go, and then there are other instances when something so simple and biting can come along and throw us right on our face.

I was just reading the words of Jesus, a section in the Bible most refer to as the sermon on the Mount... I guess because he was up on a mountain preaching a sermon? Nevertheless, there are some really tricky ideas tangled up in His words. For example, He likens being angry to murdering someone. He also says that if someone looks at a woman lustfully it's the same as committing adultery. He says that it's not a good idea to swear to someone, but simply say yes or no to them. He says if a man hits you in your face, turn so he can hit punch you in the other cheek as well. He even says love the people that hate you. He says to never ever judge people because you will be judged the same. This is only fraction of what is there too...

When I was reading this, I realized that I have probably broken every one of these at some point in my life. I am sure that I have judged someone this week. I know I have gotten angry with someone too. People may say that Jesus didn't say these things to show us we can't ever live up to them... But, I think that is exactly why He said them. It hit me that these things are good things to strive for and all, but a part of why he said all of these things was, in fact, to show us that we, in fact, can't measure up. Even more than that, it shows us how much we need Him in our lives. Reading on in the book of Matthew, we can see Jesus healing so many people of wretched diseases, and He forgives people of their filthiest sins. He puts back together that which was shattered to pieces by humanities destructive ways.

Just thought I would share... It doesn't matter what you have done. Jesus knew you wouldn't measure up, and that's why He gave us His life.

(Neverthelessmusic.com journal)

There are some things in life that we cannot fully control. We want to control them, but we can't. Am I right? Amy and I bought some couches for our apartment last fall, and a month later, the credit company charged our account again for extra money that we never spent. So I called and complained in January, and the lady said, "We will take care of it". So I chilled. A month later, the next bill came, and the charge was still there. Rather ticked off, I called again and said, "I thought you guys were taking care of this". They said that there was a valid charge and they would send me an itemized list so I could see it, but it would take 31 days to arrive. Fair enough I guess. So I waited... Fast forward: Yesterday, which marked more than 31 days, I got a letter that simply said, "Thank you for your request. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the requested document at this time". And that's pretty much it. That is what I have waited for all month long.

Lessons learned:
- First of all, don't use credit! The interest will kill you, and people on the other end of the phone have no idea what's going on with your account.
- Secondly, don't get overly angry at things you can't control. As much as I would like to think otherwise, it doesn't help much.
- Last, but not least, God loves you. I know it doesn't sound like that applies, but it does. Finances can be depressing... keep your head up and work hard!

Sorry if this blog was an absolute waste of your time. On a better note, I am getting mixes of our new songs daily, and they sound sick. We can't wait to get them out there for everyone!

Love - Joshua (NTL)

Cleburne, TX

Right now I am sitting in the living room of a very nice family who is letting us stay with them, listening to AJ and Adam playing southern rock in the other room. Today was very eventful. After an extremely tasty meal at Pei Wei in downtown Dallas, we drove away to shortly find ourselves broken down somewhere in the hood. It finally happened... our transmission went out. We encountered the few friendly folks who said "Make sure you are out of here by dark", and then we called whoever we could think of for advice. Almost $3500 later, we are hoping to be able to drive to our next show tomorrow night in Abilene.

On a brighter note, last night was the first night of the Punk the Halls tour with Stellar Kart, EleventySeven, Our Hearts Hero, and Manafest. The show was great, even though the first day of tour always kind of feels rushed as everyone is trying to figure things out. There are always the few people who know our songs, and that makes it super fun for us to see them singing out there... so thanks! We are looking forward to the rest of the tour, which strectches all the way up the west coast and then back.

I hope this all makes sense... I am feeling dead tired. But, we hope to see you all out on the tour. God bless - Joshua and NTL

So, at about 6:30 P.M. on Friday evening, we all got in the big red van and started our trip south and west. We drove through Tennessee, Arkansas, and part of Texas until we ended up at Lubbock at about noon on Saturday morning. I hate drives like that, but it was definitely worth it once we got there. The people helping were so nice, and the crowd was fun and receptive. So, we did that whole shindig and then got back into the van around 11:30 P.M and started driving the same route from before. I had first shift, and, I kid you not, Adam Rowe and I counted up to 35 deer (live ones) on the side of the highway and then lost count. It was bizarre, and I slammed on the brakes a couple of times to avoid making our grill and windshield the same color as the paint (and because I love deer of course). But, about 18 hours later, we arrived back home in Chattanooga yesterday.

All of this to say, touring is grueling and ugly sometimes, but it is also wonderful. We have such a good time meeting so many unique people, and you all encourage us to keep making music and killing our bodies in a van.

For everyone in Texas, the Punk the Halls tour is coming back down there in a couple of weeks or so. We would love to see you all again... and, Santa does use reindeer for his engine. - Peace, Joshua

October 4, 2007

Since their debut release, Live Like We\'re Alive, Nevertheless has received critical acclaim from the media and gained fans along the way as they have toured relentlessly for the past year and half. Nevertheless is preparing for an action packed fall with two back to back tours: the Drifter Tour and Punk the Halls Tour. The band is also making plans for their 2008 sophomore follow-up as they are writing and working on demos when they are not on the road.

Drifter Tour: Nevertheless will join headliner December Radio beginning next week October 11th in Allendalem, MI and continuing through November 18th in Snellville, GA. Also performing each night is Bread of Stone and Super Hero. Tour dates below.

Punk the Halls Tour: This holiday fun-filled tour will feature headliners Stellar Kart with Nevertheless as direct support. Other bands featured each night will be Our Hearts Hero, Manafest, and labelmates Eleventyseven. The tour kicks off November 24th in Bartlesville, OK and concludes December 22nd in Cincinnati, OH. Tour dates below.

In addition to their touring and preparing for the new project, lead singer Josh Pearson took time out to wed his sweetheart Amy in Orlando, Florida this August 18th. Band members stood up with the happy couple as groomsmen for the special occasion. See attached photo of the couple, band mates, and manager Zach Kelm of Q Management.

It is determination that gives NEVERTHELESS an asterisk amidst their contemporaries in indie pop/rock. At first listen they would fit nicely in the vein of such bands as Jimmy Eat World and Cartel, except for one difference: Their songs deal in as much substance as they do in relationship experience. On their label debut Live Like We\'re Alive (Flicker Records 2006), the band delivered diversity in emotion as well as depth in empathy. At the heart of the album is an energy created by a dynamic between high and low, verse and chorus. They have received ink in the likes of Billboard, CCM, Blogcritics.com, Decoymusic.com, PunkUnited.com, HM Magazine and many more.

I'm smarter than the computer... I'm smarter than the computer... I'm smarter than the computer. Well, at least that is what I like to tell myself.

We had the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to fly over to Switzerland and play an awesome festival called Plug Festival. Although the show was on a Saturday, we came in early to do some sightseeing among other things. I guess the highlights (obviously the show) were climbing one of the swiss alps, renting a boat, having swiss fondue and chocolate, and hanging out in very old cities. Anyways, I couldn't quite figure out the whole picture in the blog thing, so I put a folder in our pictures especially for Switzerland! Check em' out. Well, we sincerely hope to see you soon as we have tons of shows coming up! Je T'aime!! - Joshua and NTL

Tennessee rock band Nevertheless was next. With their brand of indie rock, these guys know how to put on a good set. Surviving some technical issues, they played right through any scrapes to not let it hinder their performance. I'll let Mr. Mabee share a bit on their set as well...
Shortly after LA Symphony finished their short-lived hip-hop set, rock group Nevertheless opened with the title track from their debut, Live Like We're Alive. After quickly addressing the crowd, and mentioning that they would be at their merch table right after the show to meet everyone, lead singer Josh Pearson announced the song, "Patience and Devotion." The rock band proceeded to keep the entire crowd in check for most of their set, which included songs like "Losing Innocence," the soft and worshipful "Lover," the infectious "Time," and their album single, "The Real." The band then announced one last song, a brand new one. Afterwards, the band quickly left the stage with their short set feeling like it had been cut off. The crowd obviously wanted more, but due to the day's schedule of events, it just wasn't possible.

(Neverthelessmusic.com journal)

Yesterday morning I awoke in the van to AJ's voice telling me to get up. When I sat up from my comfortable position, I saw the remnants of a place that once was filled with life and culture (of some kind). Now the place lay dormant with only a couple of signs - one saying the name of the city, with a population of 13 people, and the other telling a bit about the old buildings. This was a bonafide South Dakota ghost town. We proceeded 14 more miles to find another ghost town called 1880 town, and we ate breakfast in an old train car. There were mostly elderly locals there who dressed very normal...

Being on the road is the most thought preventing and thought provoking thing ever. Sometimes 20 hour drives can stop me from wanting to think about anything other than how much I don't want to be in the van. But, other times, such as this morning, I can instantly be caught up in a whirlwind of thoughts. How was it to live in 1880 town, with it's little wooden church next to the saloon? Did those people ride horses and carry guns on their hips? Did they ever dream of leaving that patch of land that they called home and heading to New York City? I think that things are so different now because of technology, but it is sobering to think that the phrase, "From the dirt you were made, and to the dirt you will return", applies to me as much as it does (or did) to those people. Maybe my grandchildren will own flying cars or live in a glass dome under water, but, they too, will pass away. I am not being hopeless, but, rather, I am learning daily that our days are appointed by God, and each one is an opportunity to use the resources that we have to serve Him.

My apologies to those I have bored with this rant, but, if you ever get a chance, take interstate 90 through South Dakota (and visit Mt. Rushmore). It is one of the coolest places we've been. Later...

Here is the question. Do the myspace hackers really think that they are smart? When we are going through our messages, we always get one that looks normal, with a heading like, "Remember Me?". When we open it, we see an offer to click and get a free cell phone with a million minutes, free rap song downloads, and who knows what else. As tempting as it is, we just have to hit the delete button. Man, they almost get us every time (sorry for those who don't like sarcasm). Anyways, all of this to say, be careful what you are clicking on. And to the hackers - way to make something of yourselves.

P.S. - It's not really a big deal, but it is slightly annoying to open and delete five of those things in a row... just thought I'd get an amen. - NTL

It was nice because it was cloudy, but it was also nasty dirty, and our shoes are now brown. BUT, it has definitely been worth it so far! We played yesterday because Flicker Records had a showcase stage. Today we saw a few of our favorite bands. Anberlin was good. Copeland was fun. The best show at Cornerstone period was The Wedding though. They were amazing today!

Anyways, it looks like we are heading to Montgomery, Illinois tomorrow for a show and then back to Cornerstone for our show Saturday. We have been really crazy busy, but we get a week off here soon to spend time with loved ones. Summer has been great, and it's not over yet!

Sometimes life is awesome. Things just fall right ...

(Neverthelessmusic.com journal)

Sometimes life is awesome. Things just fall right into place, and everything that we touch is like gold. We do a great job at work. We make friends and touch peoples' lives. It just seems like it can't get any better... and then there are the other times. Here is what I think is true: Most of the time we guage life according to the bad times. I mean, we look back at the week, month, year, etc., and we see all of our failures - the stupid mistakes that we have made. There is always that time that we could have done better or that thing that we wish we had never done at all. This has been true since the beginning.

Part I. - Think about Peter in the Bible. He was always saying stupid things. He impulsively cut a guy's ear off one time. To top it all off, he actually denied that he knew Jesus at all three different times. Peter had every reason to be depressed. He was a screw up! We have every reason to be depressed. If we choose to dwell on every dumb move we made in the last year, it won't be long before we are sleeping our days away.

Part II. - Later on, after Peter made so many mistakes, his life totally changed. Jesus told Peter that he was the one who God wanted to build the church on. Peter went on to witness to so many people, leading them to Christ and helping them mature. Peter, the same Peter who told people that he didn't know Jesus, would eventually die for saying that he did know Jesus after all. REVOLUTION...

It is late, and I say all of this to conclude - Brothers and sisters, don't give up. Don't guage your whole life on mistakes and shortcomings, but, instead, see that your life has already been marked with the times that God has chosen to use you. See that, in due time, there will be many more times that God will use you to help others. Don't evaluate your life based on mistakes, but see that the true evaluation has already been made, and the only one who is grading is not even grading based on your performance, but on the One who took our place.

Goodnight.

Oh man, one more all nighter is going to kill us! West Virginia to Texas? What? Anyways, we are in the van right now on the way to the Lone Star State to play a four day conference, two festivals, and a club show. We are definitely looking forward to being down there! For some reason, we always have fun in Texas. I'm not just saying that to give Texans another reason to be arrogant (j/k). It's just a pretty cool place.
So... lately I have found that certain little things can be so great on the road. Being in a van for hours on end can get monotonous, so I think it is neccessary for each of us to have a couple of things that we look forward to out here. For me, it has been 1) Extra pillows in the hotels. One pillow is for the head, one is to hug, and even a third can be sweet! 2) Throat Coat Tea is pretty sweet in the mornings or right before a show. It's something I have been doing for awhile, but I am realizing how much it really does make me feel better (C'mon give us an endorsement). 3) The Rocket Summer just put out a new ep on ITunes that is one of the best things that I have ever heard. We have been killing it in the NTL van!! It's one of the first things that I have felt like I had to listen to repeatedly in awhile.
... I guess these are three simple pleasures that have been like fuel for me lately. Everyone has them right?

I just realized something tonight - I never really write journal entries from home. Well, tonight I am sitting in my grayish-blue spinning computer chair at home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After I got off the phone with Amy (my fiancee'), I started browsing a lot of band myspaces, and I found out that The Rocket Summer put a new song up. It's sweet!
It's always a different feeling being at home. We went from playing a weekend event in Wisconsin with lots of people and lots of energy to flying home and waking up in our own beds yesterday morning. It was quiet. The horses were still in the yard behind mine. My record player was still dusty. I ate with my mom, my aunt, and my grandma today at McCallister's. I did a phone interview at Starbuck's. I watched American Idol with my best bud Marques and his wife, Hallie, tonight. Very peaceful to be home...
Tomorrow we will leave to finish the last leg of the Superchick tour. We drive to Nashville to pick up Krystal and Alex, and then we are off to Ohio. I am looking forward to playing on that tour again - It has been a blast so far!
For anyone reading this, I am sorry if I have severely bored you. I am writing sort of stream of consciousness style tonight. I love you all and want you to check out Derek Webb's new record, The Ringing Bell. Goodnight lovelies...

P.S. - The entry below this one is a letter that I wrote to those coming out to the Generation Rising tour about what the message means to us... I guess someone put it up as a journal entry. That's all...

Hey Guys!

We wanted to take the opportunity to tell you how stoked we are to be a part of the Generation Rising Tour! We always talk about how one of the best parts of touring is meeting so many different people from so many different walks of life, and this tour is a chance to do so. Even though we are the ones on stage, God always uses the people that we meet at shows to encourage us tremendously!

The idea of a "Generation Rising" is very exciting to us. One of our goals as a band is to see you guys become more serious about your faith in Christ. We have seen that there are many people that we come in contact with who call themselves Christian, but who don't seem to want to take the next step to really know Christ. In a culture such as ours, it is only the serious that are taken seriously by non-Christians. We need YOU to rise up and profess Christ in the face of an adverse culture. If we can have even one small part in encouraging someone to know Christ and speak His name, it is worth all of the songs in the world!

From being on the road, God has shown us that we are just a piece of the puzzle. He has many laborers in the field, and we are just five guys who are contributing. With that being said, we are very excited to be playing alongside the other four artists on the "Generation Rising" tour. Not only are they all great people with great intentions, but we think it will be a killer show! It is a privilege to share the stage with such them.

Until we meet again, please keep us in prayer. Pray that we will grow in our faith. Pray that we will be influential, and also pray for our health and safety on the road. We are looking forward to playing some rock and roll!

Good morning! I am currently in the big red van on the way to Louisiana for another show. We have left the lovely state of Florida now, which is always a hard thing to do. The Superchick tour started for us in Jacksonville, and then went to Ft. Myers, and lastly on to Orlando. They were really fun shows, and the people putting them on were so helpful and just genuinely nice. When I think of leaving Orlando, I think of a line from a Jimmy Eat World song: "I'm still driving away, and I'm sorry every day. I won't always love these selfish things. I won't always live not stopping." Stay true...

Hear ye, lovely citizens of Chattanooga, TN and the surrounding areas:

We are playing a show in Rossville, GA (pretty much Chattanooga) this Saturday, and would love to see all of our hometown friends there! It has been a while... for the longest time we thought our show was in Roseville, but it is actually Rossville at Temple of Praise church. (It's an inside joke with myself...). The address is 432 Mack Smith Road in Rossville, GA. See you there! - Joshua

P.S. - New Video blog coming soon...

P.S.S. - This is an edit... people were asking when and where. Simple directions are as follows: Get off the East Ridge exit (exit 1 in TN) and then turn onto Mack Smith Road beside the A&W fast food restaurant. Follow that until you see Temple of Praise church on the left I believe. Come around 6:30. Later...

Greetings from the van:
I hope that everyone had a great Easter. We all did various things. I went to Florida to see my fiance'. The Adams went to Nashville to rehearse because they are filling in for Krystal Meyers on our upcoming tour. Brad and AJ remained in Chattanooga, but did various things with family and friends. We are currently in the van on the way to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to play with Hawk Nelson, Disciple, and Decyfer Down. It should be a pretty fun show. We really just wanted to keep you all posted on some things.
1. We are posting a new video blog this week! We would love for you to watch!
2. Don't forget to check out our tour dates coming up... we will be all over.
3. We are writing some new songs, and maybe in the future we will be able to post.

Otherwise, I read a great sermon by Frederick Buechner this week. Think about the power of man vs. the power of God. To a certain extent, man has the power to succeed. Whether justly or unjustly, we can work hard enough, or manipulate enough, to have money and a certain level of peace. Although we may spend our whole lives to accomplish certain goals, we will realize at the end of the day that it is only God who has the power to give us ultimate peace, love, and fulfillment. I think about how vain we are... for example, we often won't pray untili there is a major crisis in our lives. In the Bible, Mark 9, the disciples are confused as to why they can't cast an unclean spirit out of a boy. Jesus tells them, "This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer." There we have it - the power of God versus the power of man. Buechner writes, "If you have never known the power of God's love, then maybe it is because you have never asked to know it - I mean really asked, expecting an answer." He is waiting for you...
Good morning beautiful people of the world. We just arrived in North Carolina to spend today with our good friend Josh of Decyfer Down before we play with Disciple tomorrow. We drove all night long from Ohio, and, I must say, it is not as bad as it used to be. When we first started pulling all nighters, it was the worst thing ever, but now we are getting used to it. We got a couple of new records to keep us company (The Academy Is and The Almost) and some Red Bull. You should try it sometime... there is something pleasurably mysterious about driving through the country in the middle of the night.
On a different note, we just had the opportunity to play with Leeland last weekend, and it was amazing! We kept hearing people talk about how great their live show was, but, until last week, we had never seen them. I will just say that a couple of us were talking about getting chills in various parts of the show because God was definitely speaking to people. The songs are very vertical, and the guys of the band are so down to earth. I just wanted to give a plug and say that, if you haven't checked them out yet, please do! God is doing great things with them, and I personally haven't spent that amount of time in communion with God and other people in quite some time.
Last, but not least, please come out and see us on the Generation Rising tour. You can check out all of the dates on Myspace and Website. We would love to see old faces and new ones. Thanks so much for the support and God bless... Joshua

Hello friends and fellow music lovers.
It has been too long since I have posted, but a lot has gone on. Right now we are sitting in this carnival of a place known as Las Vegas - the airport decor nothing short of Chuckie Cheese's and the tourists funding the new building projects with every pull of the lever. We have to thank our buddy Nick for showing us around and educating us!
Georgia and Mississippi were fun a couple of weeks ago. Marietta, GA is almost our back yard, and we saw a lot of familiar faces. That's always fun. The craziest thing was our Brandon, MS show, where I sat in the fetal position for the first time in my life as the tornados passed overhead. To the dismay of the students there, the local high school was, in fact, spared from wreckage... sorry guys. It was awesome meeting so many great people though!!
That brings us to a this weekend. Oh, the late night Denny's in Dallas was not easy on the stomach, but, nevertheless (sorry), it was a blast! Shout outs to our good friends from San Antonio (you know who you are), and the rest who are always fun to see! Texas is always good to us. For some reason, we are down there constantly. We'll be going back soon I am sure. As for now though, I will just wait with content for our delayed flight to take us, once again, from the lovely western part of the country.
Until we meet again, go in peace... Joshua

FLICKER RECORDS\' NEVERTHELESS TAKES THE COLLEGE CROWD BY STORM WITH DEBUT PERFORMANCE AT THE NATIONAL NACA CONVENTION

NASHVILLE, TN...February 22, 2007...Since their debut release, Live Like We\'re Alive, Nevertheless has received critical acclaim from the media in addition to an increased fanbase especially among the collage-age crowd. On Tuesday, Nevertheless performed in front of 1,000 college students attending the National Association of Collegiate Activities (NACA) Convention in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The students attending this convention are responsible for confirming talent to perform on their particular campus. Within three hours of Nevertheless\' energetic performance, William Morris Agency received such a positive response from the colleges with offers that will keep the band busy throughout 2007. NACA is the nation\'s largest collegiate organization for campus activities, with programs and services designed to reflect the field\'s increased responsibilities for student leadership development as well as entertainment programming.

"The room was packed for Nevertheless' set, and we had a huge response from colleges wanting to book the band on the spot," shares Mark Claassen of William Morris Agency. "Afterwards the band was swamped with people wanting to get photos and autographs. Needless to say, we were very pleased."

On Live Like We\'re Alive (Flicker Records 2006), the band delivers diversity in emotion as well as depth in empathy. At the heart of the album is an energy created by a dynamic between high and low, verse and chorus. They have received ink in the likes of Billboard, CCM, Blogcritics.com, Decoymusic.com, PunkUnited.com, HM Magazine and many more.

Their rock single "Live Like We\'re Alive" has broken into the Top 5 with a bullet on the R&R Christian Rock Chart. Their debut CHR radio single "The Real" has made a great impact by going to the Top 10 on the CHR as well as the music video being played at American Eagle stores across the nation during the holiday season. With all that is going on, Nevertheless continues to strive to share their music with their peers and fans across the nation.

Check out Nevertheless in a city near you this spring when they head out on tour with Superchic[k]. Dates to be announced soon. For more information on Nevertheless check out their website http://www.neverthelessmusic.com or myspace http://www.myspace.com/neverthelessband .
Hello all... We just arrived home from Indiana and are pretty tired. We've been having some cool shows lately though. Last weekend in New Jersey was so fun, and the people of New Providence blessed us in many ways. It is definitely one of our favorite spots. One of the best things about this job is to be able to meet and become friends with so many uniquely awesome people! It is a very enlightening thing to see how there are many different groups and types of people, but, at the end of the day, people are also the same. We all have beliefs, goals, dreams, etc... and I know that we have brothers and sisters who have a common purpose such as ours.

On a different note, the show last night in Indiana was a blast! Thanks to all of the people who came out. It was definitely fun singing "The Real" with you all. I don't know how the Indianians (is that a word?) have survived the last few days being so freezing cold though. I am not a fan of seven degree weather. Much love...

Adam Wann flew in a plane for the first time, and we always love the weather in Cali. We got to play at a youth camp for Harvest Fellowship up on a mountain and then at the church in Riverside. Those people are great people, and I know that they encouraged us tremendously. For me, one of the best parts was taking communion with all of the high school students at camp! As much as we travel, we aren't always able to worship and be with the church regularly, so it was so refreshing to be amongst brothers and sisters in that way. I don't know what else to say except that I am about halfway through "To Own a Dragon" by Donald Miller, and it's an easy fun read... go pick it up. God bless... Joshua

Hey peoples!! I hope that all is going well for you. We are currently in Phoenix, Arizona staying with some good friends of ours. I want to first of all say thank you to all who came out to the Ragefest the past couple of days. Even though it was extremely and unusually cold here in the desert, we had a blast. It was one of the best shows that we've had in a while, so thank you all. Also, I just wanted to let you know that our record was currently released in Japan. If you want to see a funny picture of the album there with a bunch of Japanese writing and the word "Emo", then check out our latest blog. For all who reads these things, I cannot say it enough - we love you! God bless... Joshua

We definitely got stuck in the snow in Wisconsin and had to get local neighborhood kids to help push us out. What nice lads they were. We had a blast everywhere we went on this last run of shows! For some reason, I am still madly in love with Chicago! Maybe it's because I lived there, but I love it to death.
On a different note, someone told me to check out what was on Youtube about us. There are some crazy videos on there and some that sound like... like they're not so good. But, nonetheless, it's fun to check out. You should try it. Take care... J

This weekend, amidst the traffic and psycho shopping, we managed to play three shows fairly close to our hometown. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and to play with some of the bands that we like! At each show, at least one person came up to me and told me how much the record meant to them and that it was helping them get through something. I just tell you that to say that I am very thankful to be able to encourage people. When people tell us things like that, it encourages us tremendously. It makes things like feedback and technical difficulties not mean much of anything. So thank YOU who have bought the record, sent us messages, and encouraged us at shows! The album is dedicated to you all! Happy post-Thanksgiving : Joshua

Hey friendlies... I hope all is well. I think that we saw some snow flurries today. It could have been sleet, but, either way, Columbus, Ohio is very cold! We played at Youth Specialties conference Friday in Cincinatti, and tomorrow we are doing the morning show at Radio U in Columbus and then recording a live show for TVU to air on New Year's Eve. In the meantime, we are hanging with our boys from Everyday Sunday and bunking and Trey's house. Today we got to go to church, which was so refreshing! Sometimes touring doesn't allow for that. Well, on a different note (if anyone reads these), I have been reading the Chronicles of Narnia series, and I highly recommend it. The two books I have read thus far are great. Well, God has blessed you all... give Him thanks this Thanksgiving week! - Joshua

Hey there. I hope that everyone has had a great week so far! We have been super busy driving and playing shows (and, actually, writing new songs) the last couple of weeks. Our four day outing turned into three weeks as we kept booking stuff. First of all, we want to say thanks to everyone who came out to the shows in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Louisiana! We had a blast. We actually got to hang out in Hot Springs, Arkansas for a couple of days with our good friends Queenzilla, Will, and little Will. They showed us around and we actually stuck our feet into the 'Hot Springs'. Being out-of-towners, we didn't know that the springs we're actually hot, but we stuck our feet in 143 degree water (not for more than like a second). Today we are driving to Texas to play a show, and then on to Louisiana again. I can tell you all that we are booking lots of shows that we will be putting up very soon! Until we meet again... It is still so hot down here, and I just talked to my friend PhilJosh in Canada where, he says, it is pretty cold. I really can't wait for the colder weather. I have decided that touring in the summer gets old after a while because you get so hot and sweaty every time you have to lug a huge amp through the street and into a door. I'm just hanging out at the "Edge 64" in Nebraska. We are playing here tonight and it should be a blast.....the building Rocks! Well....we drove all night from Chattanooga to get here, so we're pretty tired, but the hospitality here is amazing! We pulled up around 8:30 in the morning and the cafe was open so we had breakfast! We also got to take showers...so we won't smell too bad. These people are so kind (:

Also, we just played in our home town wednesday for our cd realease show!! It was absolutely amazing! Thanks to everyone who came out to support us! So...with that said, our new record "Live like we're alive" is officially released! We are so stoked. If you could, please spread the word! I know that GOD is going to use this album in some incredible ways!
Thanks again to everyone for all the encouragement and prayer!

Right now I am sitting in the floor in the hallway of the Boise, Idaho Marriott. We were supposed to be in California by now, but our trailer is broken, and there are a lot of hang-ups. We finally got the company to send a new axle, and it was the wrong one. So we are here for another day with not much to do. I finished one book, "The Eyes of the Heart" by Buechner, and now I have started "The Man Who Was Thursday" by G.K. Chesterton. Both of which, at this point, I would recommend for a thought-provoking read. I hope all is well. I have to go wake up the rest of the guys now... take care.

(Neverthelessmusic.com journal)

Word up peeps. We have had a crazy couple of days. Two nights ago, on our way up to Montana for the Downpour Festival, our trailer tire started smoking and we found out that the axle and brakes and bearings are all screwed up. We had to drop it off at a random repair place in middle-of-nowhere, Idaho and keep driving. We just found out that it can't even be worked on until Monday, and we have to be in Oregon Tuesday... BUT, today was awesome! On the way back to Idaho, we took a road off of the highway in Montana that led us to a canyon with a river running between the mountains. We swam in the freezing water and let the currents carry us away. When we made it to a rock to dry off, we didn't want to get back in the water because it was so cold. So... as we were standing on the rock debating whether to jump in, three girls offered to pull us to shore with a kayak. Instead of compromising manhood, we impulsively jumped from the rock and swam upstream to safety. I will say, the whole entire thing was a change of pace, thus, it was way fun! Take care...

Hey peeps. We are actually in a Sleep Inn parking lot jacking their internet service because there is no way we are paying $119 for one room. Okay, right now, as I am typing, three ladies from the Sleep Inn staff just caught us and told us that they felt sorry for us and will give us a 2 person rate... so, I guess we're going in. Basically, we have been in Arizona for the last week up until a couple of days ago. It's' excruciatingly hot there, and there is something charming about it. At night, you can see all of the stars in the sky so clearly, and there are crazy Tarantulas running amuck. Some kids literally caught one in a bucket at a show. That's new for us Tennessee boys. Well, it's bed time for us. Until later, take care.

(Neverthelessmusic.com journal)

Oh, the west coast - full of sunshine and laughter! We are chilling at the Microtel Inn in Cali. But, being the first journal entry and all, I will recap the last couple of weeks. We have been crazy busy, and a lot of cool things have happened. 1) In the last two weeks, we have played in Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, and California. All of you who came to these shows made them a blast! 2) AJ got to fly for the first time in his life the other day! For the first fifteen minutes his boyish eyes were glued to the window... and then he fell asleep. I enjoyed the peanuts, and read Skymall magazine on the way to Chicago. 3) Brad and the Adams went to Vegas... gamble... us? No. 4) Our transportation has had it's fair share of problems. How about having to take the fuse out from underneath the hood because the windshield wipers won't stop? Or what about overheating in the middle of the Mojave desert and sitting on the side of the road in 100 degree weather? Oh yeah, and there was that time that the trailer started smoking and the heat welded a race to the axle. We are actually going tomorrow to get that fixed. There is so much more, but, for now, that is how much fun we have been having!
